February 2006 – THE BEGINNING
The GNSF organization was formed in early February 2006. February 17’Th is considered the creation date for GNSF. All officers on GNSF strength on 03 March 2006 are concerned founding members of GNSF. TF-73 was the first operational Task Force created in GNSF, under the command of RADM Paul. RDML Sparks was appointed as the first Executive Officer TF-73, and later that month assumed command of TF-73
March 2006
LTJG Mcfester was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.
April 2006
The TF-73 logo was selected by popular vote. LT Driftwood was the winning designer.
On 02 April LCDR Pavd was appointed to the newly created position of Personnel Officer. He was credited with recovering a large amount of task force personnel information after a GNSF server crash. He contributed a large amount of time working closely with TF CoC in this position. This assignment continued until 21 June 2006.
In the latter part of April, LT Driftwood assumed command of Task Force 73

LTJG Newt-iCop was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.
July 2006
LCDR Piervit assumed command of Task Force 73. GNSF HQ authorizes the Task Forces to form staff positions for Commander Sea Squadron, Commander Seal Team.
LTJG Swimsalot was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.
LTJG Mcfester proposes the first GNSF Task Force War. His suggestions is approved by GNSF HQ
August 2006
LT Mick was appointed as the first TF-73 Commander Sea Squadron (CSS-73).
LT Chunk was appointed as the first TF-73 Commander Seal Team (CST-73).
The GNSF Task Force War was run for the month of August. TF-73 “Tridents” were the decisive winners by a score of 18 to 5 points. For their outstanding performance Lt Swordfish was awarded the Silver Star, LTJG Newt-iCop and LTJG Swimsalot were awarded the Legion of Merit. All participants were awarded the GNSF 1st TF war ribbon.

September 2006

October 2006
LT Swordfish assumes the position of CTF-73. LCDR Chunk is appointed as XO-73.
TF-73 is awarded the Unit Performance award of Task Force of the Month, for October 2006.
November 2006
The Navy Unit Commendation, Task Force of the Month (TFOM), was awarded to the Tridents. This award demonstrates TF-73's activity superior game results!
LTJG Newt-iCop has been awarded the Defence Superior Service Medal, Player of the Month (POM).

LTJG Newt-iCop was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.

The "NAVY UNIT COMMENDATION", Task Force of the Month (TFOM), has been awarded to the TF-73 for exceptional combat performance for the month of March.
The "DEFENCE SUPERIOR SERVICE Medal " has been awarded to the CDR Swordfish for GNSF Player of the month.
April 2007

In the latter part of the month Operation Flashback commenced. This operation was a war with an organization known only as DPRK. Ghost Recon and Dangerous Waters Teams from TF-73 where very active in the operation.

CDR Chunk steps down as XO-73, to devote more time to his alternate career.
August 2007
LCDR BeerDawg appointed CST-73. TF-73 was a major participant in the GNSF/USVN JIO exercise. In addition LCDR Micksp CSS-73 was the GNSF Lead Organizer.

CAPT Swordfish was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.
October 2007
Falcon 4 Allied Forces becomes a reportable game for GNSF. Several TF-73 officers played a significant role in this effort.
November 2007
CAPT Swordfish was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month. CDR Micksp steps down as CSS-73.
December 2007
CAPT Swordfish was awarded the Officer of the Year Medal for 2007.
2008
February 2008
RDML Swordfish was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month.
March 2008
CDR Newt-icop was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal for GNSF Player of the Month. TF-73 officers are engaged in a war with BoC, and holding their own.
August 2008
CDR Beerdawg resumed CST-73 duties. CDR Pavd appointed as CSS-73. LTJG Trainzmainiac appointed as CAG-73. RDML Swordfish stepped down as CTF-73.
September 2008
CAPT Alpha appointed CTF-73. CDR Beerdawg resigned as CST-73.
November 2008
CAPT Alpha resigned as CTF-73. LT Thunder won the DSSM for POM.
December 2008
TF-73 won the NUC for TFOM. LCDR Cheesehead won the DSSM for POM.

NAVY Battle E has been awarded to LTJG Dayan for his improved game skills drastically from the beginning of the month, with win and kills percentage of 32%, and has logged 24 hours of game time.
LT Pyronight appointed CAG-73.
CDR Trainzmaniac CTF-73 has been awarded the Combat Readiness Ribbon along with 30 bonus points for rigorous defense of the DW bounty.
October 2009
Task Force 73 is hereby awarded the Navy Unit Commendation for October;

November 2009
CDR Pavd is relieved as Commander Sea Squadron, Task Force 73;
CDR Thunder is relieved as Commander Seal Team, Task Force 73;
LT Pyronight is relieved as Commander Air Group, Task Force 73;
In accordance with the new Task Force CoC structure, CDR Pavd TF-73 has been appointed as the new Executive Officer, Task Force 73 (XO-73);
Task Force 73 is hereby awarded the Navy Unit Commendation for November.

The first ever Dangerous Waters individual competition “SubSnip” has been announced by RDML Swordfish;
The signups for the Interarms Competition fo both DW and GR has been opened.
For exceptional performance and great improvement in the month of December, LTJG Barondrifter is hereby awarded the Battle E and 15 Bonus points.
CDR NEWT-ICOP has been awarded DSSM for exeptional combat performance for the month of December.
TF-73 has been awarded NUC for exeptional combat performance for the month of December 2009.
